Submissions Policy

Please use the email to submit a proposal. A proposal consists of the following: In the body of an email, include a one-page cover letter, the first chapter (up to 25 pages) of your book, and a five-page synopsis which provides information on the complete story, including its beginning, middle and resolution. The subject should be title of the book.

Current Interests: We are interested in acquiring only fiction for young adults. Your manuscript should be at least 50,000 words in length. Your story should primarily target teenagers age 12-16, with a tone and subject matter that caters to the youthful innocence of that age group. We would prefer to receive light, comedic stories, and the tone of such stories is not suited to dark, dramatic topics, such as addiction, mental illness, or physical, mental or sexual abuse. These stories should be PG-13-rated as to language, content and physical violence. This means that an occasional light curse is fine, but no gutter language, no graphic sex, and no graphic violence. The Motion Picture Association of America’s definition of PG-13 is as follows: “Parents are strongly cautioned to give special guidance for attendance [reading] of children under 13. Some material may be inappropriate for young children.”

We are not interested in: Nonfiction of any kind, adult novels, middle grade novels or picture books. We are not publishing verse novels or poetry of any kind, or photography or art books.

Terms of Publication: We pay an advance on contracted royalties, half on signing the contract, and half on receipt of the final manuscript. Our books are released in trade paperback, library hardback, and Kindle eBook editions. Our distributor is Ingram Publisher Services Inc., and our books are readily available through Amazon as well as bookstores throughout the United States, including Barnes & Noble, Borders, and independent bookstores.
